Seminars & Forums

Each year, the Department holds an Otolaryngology Research Forum in June. Presentations consist of a 10-minute talk on any clinical or basic research project of their choice. The presentation is then followed by a 5-minute discussion period.

The Frazer Colloquia in Hearing and Language is an ongoing, interdepartmental colloquium series covering a wide range of topics related to Otolaryngology, Neurobiology, Neuropsychology and other germane subjects. This series is sponsored by the Otolaryngology Department, the International Center for Hearing & Speech Research, and other participating departments at the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Also each year during the summer, the Research Group conducts a Summer Seminar Series consisting of Otolarynyology presentations including the fields of Aging, Behavior, Imaging Science, Immunocytochemistry, Molecular Genetics, Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology, Psychoacoustics and Research Audiology.

Three presentations are conducted each week for a total of 8-9 weeks with lunch being provided.
