Welcome from the Chair
There has never been a time like now in our Department of Emergency Medicine. The combination of compassionate clinical care, residency education, and clinical and translational research is thriving at the University of Rochester. As a member of the Strong Community for the past 10 years, I have witnessed an explosion of talent merging with state of the art science and world class patient care at our institution.
As a resident you will learn Emergency Medicine in a integrated, collaborative, medical center with an outstanding tradition of graduate medical education. We are proud to be part of a GME program that received an “A+” ranking by the ACGME with a maximum accreditation cycle.
Our residency program thrives on a high-acuity and diverse patient populations, access to world - class specialties and cutting edge educational and patient care technologies. Despite all of these benefits, the greatest assets of our Department are our residents and faculty. Whatever your careers goals may be, whether clinical, educational, research, international or a combination of these activities, you will be well mentored by our team.
I welcome you to Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital and hope that you explore the full range of opportunities available to you to become the Emergency Medicine physician of your dreams.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions about our program or hospital.
