Med-Peds Research Track

I. Goals

• To promote an interest in scholarly activity, gain an understanding of the research process, and develop the skills necessary for future academic and subspecialty careers.

II. Expectations

• Regularly meet with a faculty mentor to develop and complete a research project
• Attend group meetings to discuss research methodology and resident projects
• Submit regular progress reports

III. Criteria for Graduation with Distinction in Research

• Completion of a quality scholarly project
• Attendance at group research meetings
• Submission of an acceptable manuscript or thesis
