  • R1 Bowling Night with the Primary Care Faculty. Primary care physicians take a night to welcome first-year residents.
  • R1 Retreat. All first-year residents are excused from rotations for a day-long retreat held at beautiful Letchworth State Park, south of Rochester.
  • Becoming an R2 Day. This is a day of learning and fun set aside for rising second-year residents.
  • R2 Dinner. Second-year residents choose a place to have fun and reflect as they get ready for the final year of residency.
  • Becoming an R3 Day. This is a day of learning and fun set aside for rising third-year residents.
  • Departmental Holiday Party. The name says it all. Fantastic!
  • Chief Resident Roast. Residents and faculty regale (and roast) departing chief residents.
  • Annual Housestaff Jeopardy and Awards Ceremony. In the Grand Rounds setting, faculty and residents compete for the Jeopardy Winner title. A special awards ceremony follows.
