Rotations

There are 24 two-week rotations, in addition to a two-week orientation and a two-week holiday assignment. During orientation and the December-January holidays, we incorporate a float schedule. Orientation week is designed to orient the new residents to the institution and department, to orient other residents to their new roles, and to allow the graduating residents time to study for the written board examination.

There is a night float system at each hospital.

There are 4 weeks of vacation during each year of training. During the fourth year, one week of vacation may be used for interviewing.
