Grand RoundsAt Strong Memorial HospitalOB/GYN Grand Rounds at Strong Memorial Hospital (SMH) convene every Thursday during the academic year from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. During the summer, the conferences are less frequent. The first Thursday of each month is reserved for the full time/part-time faculty meeting. Residents are represented at the meeting by the R4s on the gynecology and obstetrics rotations. Once a month, the SMH gynecology, obstetrics, and night float residents present a morbidity and mortality conference with a selected list of patients in an oral boards format. SMH faculty or outside guest speakers fill the remainder of the conferences. At Highland HospitalOB/GYN Grand Rounds are also held on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Highland Hospital. A faculty meeting is held once a month. Faculty and guest speakers present the remaining weeks. TeleconferencingTeleconference capabilities at SMH and HH enable Rounds to be broadcast at both sites.
