GynecologyAbout the DivisionThe gynecologic service at Strong Memorial Hospital has three committed major operating rooms, in which about 2,137 gynecologic surgical procedures are performed annually. The Division of Gynecology Specialties coordinates clinical activity and training in these areas. Included in this Division are areas of emphasis in urogynecology and pelvic relaxation, pelvic pain, sexually transmitted diseases, colposcopy, sexual dysfunction and psychosocial issues, menopause, and vulvar disease. In addition there are approximately 2,051 gynecological surgeries at Highland Hospital. This provides for an extensive surgical teaching base for resident education. Standard as well as cutting-edge endoscopic surgical techniques are utilized. Links
