The League of Ordinary GentlemenThe League of Ordinary Gentlemen (LOG) is a group of OB/GYN husbands and residents who get together for social events when their wives are conveniently (and frequently) unavailable. It’s a spouses group that diverts from similar services offered by the University of Rochester medical program, which offer spouses events that tend to be more popular among women than men. Because an overwhelming number of OB/GYN applicants of late have been female, The League of Ordinary Gentlemen has found a niche in providing a social outlet for husbands who relocate for the sake of their dear wives, though all spouses are welcome to participate. LOG events have included sporting events and outings, fantasy football, parties and the wing-a-thon (buffalo wing tasting event). Additionally, LOG provides practical information to incoming residents immediately following their match, to help get them settled comfortably in Rochester as soon as possible.
