Teaching Conference and Rounds

Otolaryngology Residency Program trainees can expect to attend and participate in the following regimen of rounds and conferences.

  • Attending clinical rounds—Daily for consults and inpatients, every other Saturday morning
  • Basic science lectures—one hour, two evenings per week
  • Journal Club—one session per month
  • Head and neck tumor conference—two times per month
  • Neurotology conference—four times per year
  • Visiting professors—at least two times per year
  • Saturday laboratory sessions—consideration of/discussions in temporal bone drilling, head and neck anatomy or other appropriate topics
  • Otolaryngology Grand Rounds—two hours once each week, from September to June
