Vacation
- PGY1 residents in good standing are awarded three 9-day vacations
- PGY2-PGY5 residents in good standing are awarded four weeks of time off from clinical duties
- Up to three weeks may be used as vacation
- A fourth week may be allowed for professional development (i.e., conference attendance)

Labcoats
The GME office provides each resident with three labcoats annually. Embroidery and patches are taken care of through the Otolaryngology department. Residents are responsible for laundering their own coats.
Micellaneous Benefits
- AAO-HNS membership is paid for by the Otolaryngology department
- Home Study course for PGY3 and PGY4 is paid for by the Otolaryngology department
- Each resident receives an educational allowance of $400 a year for books
