Stipends and Benefits

For information on salary benefits provided while you’re a program trainee, contact Program Administrator Amy Mills. Her phone number is (585) 275-1521.

Each resident receives four weeks (28 days) of vacation, to be taken as four separate periods of seven consecutive days (usually Saturday to Saturday). You are expected to take a week of vacation during each of your four three-month clinical rotations. All residents need to coordinate their vacation schedules such that no two residents take a week of vacation simultaneously. Residents also should coordinate their vacations such that at least one week separates vacation weeks between two separate residents.

Residents may attend one or more national or major regional scientific or educational meetings each year. Attendance is subject to approval of the program director. If a resident is presenting an accepted abstract at a national or regional meeting, the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery will provide reimbursement for travel/meeting expenses up to $1,500. Only scientific work sponsored by one of the faculty will be considered for reimbursement.
