PGY-1

6 mon

Inpatient Psychiatry

  • SMH General Adult Acute Service (3 mon)
  • RPC Regional Forensic Unit OR RPC Intermediate Treatment Program (3 mon)

4 mon

Medicine

  • 4 wks of Emergency Medicine
  • 4 weeks on the Behavioral Medicine Surgery Unit
  • 8 weeks of inpatient Internal Medicine

2 mon

Neurology at Rochester General Hospital on Consult Service

Calls

Psychiatry—4 shifts per month
Medicine—every third night
Neurology—occasional beeper call from home and Saturday AM rounds

Supervision

In addition to service-based supervision, one hour of individual supervision with an assigned Psychiatry preceptor during Psychiatry rotations.

Didactics

PGY-1 Seminar Series—Every Tuesday afternoon (1:00 - 5:00 p.m.)

  • ROSS (Resident Organized Seminar Series Fridays, Noon - 1:00 p.m.)

PGY 2 Seminars—Every Tuesday afternoon 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.; Sept. - Jan., 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. & 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. (Feb - June)

Adult Ambulatory Clinics

Long Term Care Clinic at Strong Ties—3 half days per week

Perinatal Consultation Clinic—1 half day per month

Mental Health Services Clinic at Family Court - 1/2 day per week

Office Based Practice—2 - 3 half days per week

Socio-Legal Practicum & Seminar—1 half day per wk for 5 mon

Elective Clinic—1 half day per wk for 6 mon

Family Practicum—1.5 hours per week

Calls per month

3 shifts in Psych ED

Supervision

Service-based supervision and direct supervision in clinic with a preceptor and 1hour per week with a psychotherapy supervisor.

Didactics

In addition to the seminars attached to the Socio-Legal and Long Term Care rotations, there will be didactics on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
