Admission Requirements
In addition to the minimal requirements of the School of Medicine & Dentistry, M.D./Ph.D. candidates are expected to have research experience. See the Review Process for more information.
The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is required.
Financial Support
Financial support for students enrolled in the program is available from University funds and a Medical Scientist Training Program grant from the National Institutes of Health. Both provide stipend and full tuition and health fees for MD/PhD students for the entire period of their studies.
Since the Medical Scientist Training Program grant is a type of National Research Service Award sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, trainees must be citizens of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence (i.e., possess an alien registration card I-151 or I-551) in order to qualify for funding.
