Technology Core Services

Our main responsibility is to develop automated lab systems for stimulus and behavioral control, data acquisition, and data analysis. We design, construct, and repair lab components and devices.

We are happy to provide the following services for the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy and for its research Programs and Centers.

3. Product delivery directly to your office or lab

1. Computer, printer, monitor, and associated hardware installations
2. Software installations
3. Information about the installation or activation of network ports
4. Addition of new computers to the network
5. Creation of email/domain accounts

1. Troubleshoot problems related to external drives, backup servers, USB and Firewire installations and maintenance, various backup mechanisms, various networking configurations, virus software, boot-up problems, cables, disk drive crashes, and software
2. Serve as the "keeper" of Department-wide equipment, software, serial numbers, backup servers, cameras, cables, scanners, projectors, etc. To check out equipment or request software, please see us.
3. Monitor security and networking issues; and provide operating system and email/browser security patches and updates.

• We serve as the interface between the Department and URMC Web Technology. For any web or multimedia-related concerns, please contact us directly.
• For ISD problems, please contact the Help Desk directly. However, as necessary, please feel free to contact us, as we do serve as an interface between NBA and ISD. We are here to support you.
