We have compiled two types of information that may be useful to postdocs seeking funding. The first section is simply a listing of various grants that are available. The second section contains grant writing tips from various sources.
Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects (CRISP) is a database maintained by NIH that allows you to search federally funded biomedical research projects.
Grants.gov is a searchable database for grants from the federal government.
Grantsnet is a free searchable database that is maintained by HHMI and AAAS. This database allows you to search for grants and fellowships based on a number of criteria (level of training, research area, deadline date and citizenship requirements).
NIH has a listserv that you can join to get a weekly e-mail with links to the NIH Guide Weekly and links to each NIH guide RFAs, PAs and Notice published for that week.
NIH also has a list of current postdoctoral research and training opportunities.
University of Rochester Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA) has a website that has a lot of useful information and links. They have links to administrative forms, granting agencies, UR policies and procedures as well as sample grants.
University of California at Irvine (UCI) has a comprehensive list of links for grants and fellowships in a variety of disciplines.

Applicants must have completed at least 12 but not more than 48 months of postdoctoral training.

Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation
Offers three-year fellowships to research relevant to the study of cancer and the search for cancer causes, mechanisms, therapies, and prevention. Only applicants beginning their first full-time postdoctoral appointment are eligible.
2007 Deadlines: March 15; August 15.
Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research
Individuals who have no more than one year of postdoctoral research experience at the time of the deadline for submitting the application and who have received a PhD (or equivalent) degree no more than two years before the deadline, or an M.D. degree no more than three years before the deadline are eligible to apply.

Human Frontier Science Program
HFSP supports basic research focused on complex mechanisms of living organisms; fields supported range from molecular and cellular approaches to biological functions to systems and cognitive neuroscience They offer a variety of fellowships (Long-term Fellowships, Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships, Short-term Fellowships and Career Development Awards) and grants Young Investigator’s Grants and Program Grants).
Deadlines are specific for each grant or fellowship.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
The Postdoctoral Fellowship program funds Postdoctoral Fellows in the areas of breast cancer research, public health, or epidemiology. Funding is available per year for two or three years..
