| Biography |
| |
- Associate Professor in PM&R and licensed Clinic Psychologist in New York State.
Dr. Cushman received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Her research and clinical interests include stroke, dementia and visual-spatial functioning as well as psychological adaptation to disability and assistive technology. She has published numerous papers in these areas. Dr. Cushman has been the primary investigator on several grants, including Cognitive Factors in the Safety of Older Drivers, funded by the National Institute on Aging. She is a reviewer for several journals, and on the Editorial Board of Rehabilitation Psychology. Dr. Cushman co-directs the psychology/neuropsychology course for the PM&R residents. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology (APA), and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. |
