“Does Community Coordination Result in Victim Safety and Batterer Accountability?” Primary Investigator for Evaluation of Monroe County Family Court Intensive Intervention Domestic Violence Court, funding in part by Violence Against Women Act Grant and New York State Assembly Member Item Money (with Dr. Kenneth Conners, Suzanne Tomkins, Esq. and Bivette Stodgehill).

“Are Community Coordination Prosecution Protocols Working” Primary Investigator for review of all 1998 Domestic Violence Misdemeanors in Niagara County, New York, to see if case disposition is in compliance with office policies and protocols.

 

Professional Overview

Catherine Cerulli, J.D., is the Director of Laboratory of Interpersonal Violence and Victimization and has a joint appointment as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Rochester focusing on the study of interpersonal violence. She is the Director of Research at the State University at Buffalo School of Law Family Violence Clinical Program she co-found in February 1992. She was formerly an Assistant District Attorney in Monroe County, New York, where she created a special misdemeanor domestic violence unit. She has been working on issues surrounding domestic violence and child abuse for 19 years and worked in a variety of capacities.
