Case #05 Radiologic Findings:
Bilateral diffuse, fluffy, poorly marginated opacities in the lungs. There is blurring of the pulnonary vessel margins and haziness around the pulmonary hila. Left lower lobe atelectasis is present. Both left and right costophrenic angles are blunted with a meniscus that tapers superiorly, consistent with bilateral pleural effusions. A positive silhouette sign is noted in the right middle and lower lobes and left lower lobe. There is no mediastinal shift. No cardiomegaly is noted. Skin folds are apparent in the left lung field.
