Case #06 Radiologic Findings:
(1) Left paraspinal thickening is seen extending from the level of T9 to T12. At its largest point, the maximal width is 0.9 X 4.3 cm with a density of 6 to 39 Houndsfield units (soft tissue range). (2) A right paraspinal soft tissue mass is seen extending from the posterior mediastinum to the retrocrural area of the upper abdomen at the level of T1 1-T12. The lower extent of the mass has the appearance of two retrocrural nodes measuring 0.9 and 1.6 cm. (3) Four cystic regions are seen in the spleen, the largest measuring about 8 mm. Go To Image #1 |

Low T1 and high T2 signal lesion in the left paraspinal soft tissues from T7 to T11. The lesion is well circumscribed and enhances uniformly with contrast. The lesion does not appear to extend into the spinal canal or involve the vertebrae. Smaller right paraspinal mass extends from T7 to T11.
