Welcome to the Students of Rochester Outreach - SRO home page. SRO is a volunteered based program available to the medical and graduate students at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. This program offers an outstanding opportunity for students to enhance their education, while serving the community around them.

SRO’s primary goal is to provide students with an opportunity to broaden first-hand experience with the urban poor. The emphasis at all sites is to establish relationships with agency clients and to develop and appreciation for the social and cultural dimensions of health through attentive, compassionate listening. In-house seminars are regularly offered to support student outreach.
