Year-Out Fellowships

Go!

An active student fellowship program has long been a feature of undergraduate medical education at Rochester. Students most often take a year off after the second year to do research or an academically enriching experience. All fellowships are individually arranged by the student. Students who are interested in doing Year-Out Fellowships are encouraged to begin the planning process early. May 1 is the deadline to be considered for an institutional stipend or an "honors fellowship" designation (provides an adjustment to the returning year's financial aid award to lessen the impact of an increase in tuition during the year out). The MSPRB approves all requests for honors fellowships.
