PREREQUISITES: Internal Medicine

GOAL:
To become more knowledgeable regarding the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of the rotation the student should be able to:

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES:
Student will spend 4 days/week in in Endocrine Clinic, and one day for an endocrine tutorial. In addition the student will particpate in the evaluation of any in house consults, and/or subspecialty conferences.

REQUIRED READING:
The endocrine section of one of the standard textbooks of medicine.

STUDENT EVALUATIONS:
To receive a grade of Satisfactory the student must successfully demonstrate proficiency of the learning objectives, attend all sessions, maintain a logbook of patients seen, and receive a satisfactory evaluation from the preceptor.
