Causes of Aphasia
Aphasia is not a disease. It’s a symptom of brain damage (usually to the language-dominant left side of the brain) that may result from a range of circumstances, including:
- Stroke
- Head injury
- Brain tumor
- Infection in the brain
- Alzheimer’s Disease or another form of dementia
