April 13-17 is Stem Cell Awareness Week at the University of Rochester

The Society of Undergraduate Biology Students has organized an entire week of activities focused on raising funds to support studies in stem cell medicine. Katie Medford and Chelsea McGuire, UR undergraduates who have taken a lead role in promoting student awareness about stem cell research, and an impressive list of co-sponsors have put together multiple activities, ranging from talks to silent auctions to car bashes. Come to Hirst Lounge in Wilson Commons on Wednesday April 15 between 12 and 7 PM to bid in the Silent Auction and bid on a fantastic range of donated items, including gift certificates from many of Rochester's fine restaurants and food emporiums, jewelry and accessories, spa and salon services, a great family portrait package (a $485 value - great for graduation) and a certificate good for any review course from Kaplan educational services (a $1500 value).
