Visiting Hours and Policies
Hours
Strong Memorial Hospital general visiting hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except as otherwise described below. Visitors should stop at the information desk in the main lobby for patient room information and any visiting restrictions which may be in effect. All visitors (except designated support person(s), as addressed below) must leave the hospital after visiting hours. Individuals requesting information about patients, such as patient room information, should be directed to the main lobby information desk.
The patient (or their personal representative, when applicable) may also designate one or more support person(s) who will be involved in their care by being present with the patient for emotional support during the course of stay. They may be family members, close friends or other individuals. The Hospital encourages the identification of such support person(s) and will provide them with 24/7 access to the patient’s hospital unit during the patient’s hospitalization, except when the individual’s presence may infringe on the rights or safety of others, or is medically or therapeutically contraindicated.
