Social workers are always ready to assist you, from helping you find your way through our health care system to responding to critical needs you may have during your stay. A social worker is a valued member of your medical team who provides the supportive, informational and educational resources that can benefit you during your stay and after your discharge. They are available to provide supportive counseling and to connect you to appropriate community or hospital resources.
You can get in touch with a social worker by either visiting the Social Work office located on the first floor of Strong Memorial Hospital, Rm. 1-1450, or by calling (585) 275-2851. Nursing can also assist you in contacting your Social Worker.
The Social Work office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but should you need it, social work assistance is available after normal business hours. Simply call the main hospital phone number at (585) 275-2121 and ask to speak with a social worker.
