Basic & Translational Research Division
Our mission is not only to treat disease but also to conduct research that leads to the development of new medical procedures and treatments. Our highly integrated faculty utilizes a broad investigative approach that employs basic research techniques to unravel the mysteries of various disease processes. We are gaining a greater understanding of the biological mechanisms of disease, identifying new technologies for improved diagnostics and treatment, and developing novel surgical approaches.
