11 June 2013

The Office of Technology Transfer, in cooperation with the Center for Entrepreneurship proudly present F.I.R.E. in June:

"Find Funding in Your Freezer and Move Science Forward:
The Investigator's Annexe"

Both new funding and new research tools can be important to new discoveries in life science. Currently research materials may be shared under a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA), but the MTA process can exact a toll on academic labs and technology transfer offices. KeraFAST has shown that a new source of academic research funding can be found in the many novel and unique research materials investigators have in their laboratory freezers, such as antibodies, cell lines, probes, viruses, plasmids, and so on.

Our presenter this month is Robert Bondaryk, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of KeraFAST, Inc. KeraFAST hosts the Investigator's Annexe -- a large and unique collection of life science research tools from the laboratories of investigators in prominent research institutions from around the world.

A light lunch will be served following the presentation. Please contact David Englert, or call 585.276.6615 for more information or to register for this event.

Although the F.I.R.E. Series continues to be free and open to the public, a small fee for parking may apply (usually between $5 and $6). Registration would be appreciated by noon Monday,10 June 2013.
