The Medical Center Administrative Group (MCAG) was established in 1976 and represents all components of the Medical Center: Eastman Dental Center, Health Sciences Division, Medical Faculty Group, School of Medicine and Dentistry. School of Nursing, Strong Memorial Hospital. The MCAG serves to enhance its members' ability to achieve personal and professional growth through interactive symposia, networking, and URMC-wide MCAG events.

Considerable networking opportunities exist among Medical Center Administrators through the MCAG organization. All members are subscribed to the MCAG listserve, which is the principal means for communicating agendas, minutes, and other information among the membership.

Anyone whose responsibilities include administration in the broadest sense, and who works within or in support of Medical Center activities may become a member of MCAG.

Members may participate in any or all of the monthly business and liaison committee meetings and are encouraged to seek MCAG elective office or committee chair positions. Active participation is a requirement of membership. Members are asked, at a minimum, to attend one MCAG event during every 6-month period.

The MCAG membership-at-large elects officers and a Web Master for one-year terms (July - June); the Committee Chairs are appointed by the Steering Committee and serve for one year (January - December) with a possible extension of one additional year.
