Link to Faculty Profiles From Your Website

We strongly encourage you to link directly to faculty profiles located in eCV, our faculty database application. This eliminates the need for multiple static faculty pages that may have different looks and types of information.

You have the option to link to the Patient View, the Researcher View, and/or Journal Articles. Note that not all faculty profiles will have all of these views available.

To link to a profile, follow these instructions:

1. First, open your web browser and go to the URMC site at www.urmc.rochester.edu.
2. In the search box in our banner, type the faculty member's name and click Search.
3. You will get a search engine results page that displays all matching results. Look for the entry that contains the word "people" in the URL.
4. Click on the link and then click on one of the tabs at the top of the page depending on view you would like to link.
5. Copy the last portion of the http address. For example:
   /people/22436740-bradford-c-berk/patients (to link directly to the Patient Care Profile)
   /people/22436740-bradford-c-berk/researchers (to link directly to the Research Profile)
   /people/22436740-bradford-c-berk/articles (to link directly to Journal Articles)
6. On the page you would like to add the link to your faculty profile, paste the copied link address.
