Dr. Richard A. Lewis is a general orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of shoulder and knee pain and is experienced in fracture care of pediatric and adult patients that do not require surgery. He sees patients of all ages and directs those who need surgery to the best care possible. He often provides second opinions to help guide patients in their treatment choices.

Dr. Lewis oversees Orthopaedic Urgent Care at URMC's Clinton Crossings Clinic, providing same-day evaluation for injuries to the musculoskeletal system. He also sees patients with shoulder or elbow problems during scheduled appointments. Dr. Lewis is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of URMC's Shoulder and Elbow Services and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics.
