RESEARCH INTERESTS: Outcomes research with a focus on the elderly, long-term care, and end-of-life.

Dr. Temkin-Greener has been involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of state and national demonstration programs for the frail and vulnerable elderly. She has conducted research in the areas of: Medicare and Medicaid risk-adjusted payment models; cost of care; variations in patient outcomes, and end-of-life care.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: Dr. Temkin-Greener's current research is focused in three areas: 1) Quality of care - developing outcome measures and assessing quality of care in community-based, hospital and long-term care settings; 2) Organizational performance - developing and validating care process and team performance measures; 3) Aging and Long-term Care - assessing the impact of individual and organizational risk factors on quality of care for vulnerable elderly.

Dr. Temkin-Greener is currently the PI on two NIH funded R01 grants:

1) "Team Performance and Quality of Care in Nursing Homes"

2) "End-of-Life Quality of Care in Nursing Homes"

She also directs the PACE Data Analysis Center (PDAC), involving 55 PACE organizations across the US.
