Portrait

My primary interest is in clinical trials and clinical research in treatment of pediatric malignancies. I serve as the Principal Investigator for the Clinical Research Program in Pediatric Oncology for all cooperative group activities through the Children's Oncology Group and the Dana-Farber Leukemia Consortium. Through these groups, I have been actively involved in design and development of a number of studies of the treatment and biology of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). My specific areas of expertise are L-asparaginase pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and immunology in treatment of ALL, treatment of T-cell disease (ALL and NHL), and role of cardioprotectants in preventing cardiotoxicity of cancer therapy.
