Dr. Swenson provides non-surgical treatment of all sports or activity-related musculoskeletal conditions or injuries, including concussions in athletes at all levels of play and all ages. He enjoys teaching and participates in the training of medical residents throughout the Rochester, NY region.
Dr. Swenson earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed a residency in Family Practice at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Michigan State University. His research interests include hip muscle involvement in knee pain, the use of ultrasound in the management of patellar tendonitis, and the effectiveness of teaching the musculoskeletal system to residents and medical students. Dr. Swenson is a board-certified non-operative sports medicine specialist and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at URMC.
