Portrait

Dr. Yost is the Psychologist/evaluator for URMC's participation in an NICHD long term follow-up study of extremely low birth weight (less than 1000g) babies, mostly due to extreme prematurity.

Dr. Yost is interested in cognitive patterns of children with autism spectrum disorders as evidenced in the Leiter International Performance Scale II, a test of nonverbal abilities.

He is currently involved in research on sleep patterns and/or disorders in both children and adults with developmental disabilities, as well as children adopted from foreign countries in a general pediatric practice. Preliminarily, these groups have a higher than average rate of sleep disruption which contributes to emotional and behavioral functioning in other areas of their lives as well as those around them.
