Co-Investigator: International multi-centered, single-blind randomized study comparing thymectomy to non-thymectomy in non-thymomatous myasthenia gravis patients receiving prednisone.
Data Safety Monitor for: Investigation of Possible Periodic Paralysis: "P3". (I have reviewed, and will serve as a safety monitor for this clinical trial.)
Developer of a use patent for a novel pharmacological treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.
Developer of Cognitive and Gastrointestinal study protocols for the use of iPlex for Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1). (In this role I developed several add-on protocols to further investigate the unexpected results obtained from the above iPlex study. These protocols will be implemented during the evaluation process for future patients participating in this study.)
Neuromuscular consultant for the NIH funded trial: Aerobic Exercise for Cancer Related Fatigue. PI: Karen M. Mustian, Ph.D. (I have provided consultation, and will perform needle muscle biopsies for this NIH trial.)
