Dr. Flemister specializes in all aspects of adult and adolescent foot and ankle disorders. He has extensive experience in sports injuries and complex reconstruction of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Flemister earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at SUNY Health Science Center and a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in the Tampa Orthopaedic Program. His research focuses on the operative and non-operative treatment of the posterior tibial tendon and he has received an NIH grant to study this disease process. He has authored several medical journal articles and textbook chapters on various aspects of foot and ankle surgery. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at URMC.
