Dr. Flynn received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in 1993. He went on to residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, part of Harvard Medical School and joined the staff of Beth Israel upon completing residency in 1997. After practicing as a generalist Ob/Gyn in Boston for 4 years, Dr. Flynn returned to Duke in 2001 for a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He completed his fellowship in 2004 and at the same time received his Master's in Health Sciences. He joined the staff of Ob/Gyn at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester in August 2004 as an Assistant Professor of Ob/Gyn and Urology.
Dr. Flynn specializes in the management of female urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse and has published several papers in this field. He has a particular interest in overactive bladder and severe urge urinary incontinence.
