Dr. Tyler is an orthopaedic oncologist, or a surgeon who focuses her practice on the care of patients with bone and soft tissue tumors. This care includes the treatment of patients of all ages, including young children to elderly adults and all components of the extremities, including the pelvis and sacrum. She also specializes in total joint replacement and complex reconstructive cases. Dr. Tyler is committed to providing the highest quality of care to her patients and works closely with doctors within other medical specialties to provide the most comprehensive care that a condition may require.

Dr. Tyler earned her medical degree from The John Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She then completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Tyler has written medical journal articles on several bone diseases, the effectiveness of medication in penetrating to the site of bone grafts, and the strength of the bone and prosthesis union. Dr. Tyler is an Assistant Professor in URMC's Orthopaedic Oncology and Metabolic Bone Disease and Adult Reconstruction.
