The University of Rochester Medical Center welcomes Dr. Todd D. Francone as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. A native of Bellerose, New York, Dr. Francone earned his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and his medical degree from Upstate Medical University, SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York.
Prior to joining URMC, Dr. Francone completed residencies in general surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital Medical Center, Manhattan Campus in New York and at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center. In addition,
Dr. Francone completed a colon and rectal surgery residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts and a clinical research fellowship in colorectal service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Dr. Francone's certifications include the American Board of Surgery and USMLE. He is licensed in the states of New York and Massachusetts. Dr. Francone is the recipient of several prestigious awards and honors. He has also authored numerous publications and has been involved in a variety of research studies.
