A Time To Shine
Everyone joins the Spring Fitness Challenge for different reasons. Some people hope to lose weight while others are trying to bulk up. Still others participate because they got a "wake up call" from a doctor. Even athletes participate, trying to push themselves just that little bit harder. Regardless of your reason for participating, we try to make the Spring Fitness Challenge a fun, motivating tool to help you become more active than you ever thought possible.
Last year, 358 people on 38 teams registered to take the challenge. In the first week alone, they recorded 1593 activities, representing over 43 days and 16 hours of accumulated exercise! Every registered participant gets a motivational shirt and is also eligible for weekly raffle prizes. Every time you record an activity, you get an additional chance to win. Additional prizes will be awarded at the end to recognize outstanding achievement during the Challenge.

Points are earned both for exercise and for weight loss, so whatever your goals, we'll provide that extra push you need. Plus, every time you record exercise, you're automatically entered into a weekly drawing for fantastic prizes.
As an added bonus, non-members may use the Fitness & Wellness Center during the Spring Fitness Challenge at no additional cost.
A Team Effort
All participants must register on teams of 5 to 20 people. University staff, students, alumni and retirees are encouraged to participate. By competing with and against your peers, you'll have the extra motivation you need to keep those New Years Resolutions!
Entire teams win as well, so keep your teammates motivated. Your combined effort could quickly push your team to the top. To keep bigger teams from having an advantage, we compare the average score of each team to determine the winner.

Registration is only open through February 29. You can download a registration packet or pick one up at the Fitness & Wellness Center Pro Shop. We also have a promotional poster available for download.

The Catch
Members pay $16 and non-members pay $25. Non-members must also complete a New Member Orientation before they can record their progress. Each team must have no less than 2 non-members. Weigh-ins must be completed between March 3 and 7.
