Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:

• Recognize the requirements to transition from a film and paper-based workplace to an electronic-based environment nearly devoid of film and paper.
• Compare the pros and cons of film-based versus digital mammography and CAD.
• Explain the increase in sensitivity and specificity of the emerging techniques as compared to the standard techniques for imaging disease processes in women.
• Describe the improvements in the management and treatment of disease in women made possible by the emerging processes and technologies.
• Apply the new diagnostic and treatment management algorithms for disease in women.
