Experience San Antonio's Riverwalk

On Monday, February 4, 2008, The Westin La Cantera Resort Shuttle will drive you to downtown San Antonio so you can experience San Antonio's Riverwalk firsthand. The Shuttle will leave The Resort at 5:45pm and pick you up at a designated location at 10:45pm to return you to The Westin La Cantera Resort.

The Riverwalk is one of the most visited locations in all of Texas. Whether you are looking for a special place to dine, a nightclub or a place where history was made, there is a wide selection of attractions to fill your days and evenings with fun and educational opportunities.

The Riverwalk (Paseo Del Rio) located in the heart of the downtown, offers lush green foliage along the banks of the river. The cobblestone walkways and river cruisers travel the three-mile Riverwalk leading visitors to unique river-level restaurants, retail shops and nighclubs. The 45 minute River Boat ride is one tour you do not want to miss.

You won't want to miss the view from the 750-foot-tallTower of the Americas or the fascinating neon lights along The Riverwalk at night.

The Riverwalk's newest attraction is Aztec On The River™ where the historic 1926 movie palace has been restored, complete with a Mighthy Wurlitzer organ. There is a free multi-million dollar special show in the Grand Lobby every 90 minutes and a giant screen theatre with incredible surround-sound.

A unique arts and crafts community with shops can be found at La Villita and there is shopping from early morning until late at night at El Mercado with its 32 shops patterned after an authentic Mexican market.

There is a 45-minute docudrama of the 13-day siege and fall of the Alamo at the San Antonio IMAX Theatre Rivercenter.
