For inventors or faculty interested in becoming inventors, BRDO seeks to identify and prioritize intellectual property capable of being successfully commercialized from faculty in collaboration with UR Ventures. Operationally, BRDO seeks to implement an effective value chain, so that every step from idea generation to production is supported optimally, bringing resources together where and when needed.

For industry, BRDO seeks to identify their specific needs and wants that can be addressed successfully by URMC faculty generated or supported intellectual property, facilities, and services.
