Postdoctoral Associate
Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to work in the field of brain imaging and computational neuroscience. The ideal candidate is expected to develop state of the art statistical and machine learning methods for understanding complex neuronal mechanisms behind normal aging and neurodegenerative diseases. The position will be held in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. The main research areas will include: (1) statistical brain imaging analysis; (2) data integration; (3) network analysis; and (4) functional and shape data analysis. The candidate will also have opportunities to participate in research MRI protocol design and data collection.
Position Qualifications
The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics or physics, with interest in imaging data analysis, functional and shape data analysis. Candidates with strong computational skills (proficient in one of the programming languages, C/C++, Python, R and Matlab) are especially encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and will be equal to or exceed NIH postdoctoral stipends. Benefits will be in accordance with the University of Rochester's standard postdoctoral benefits.
