Beverly Brewer, RN, BSN, IBCLCBeverly began her nursing career in medicine and surgery, but quickly moved into pediatrics, working in the emergency room and pediatric intensive care unit. She has always had a passion for the art of breastfeeding and began her journey as a lactation professional in 2010, when she became a certified lactation counselor and worked as a breastfeeding peer counselor for the National Institutes of Health under the umbrella of the WIC program. Beverly's experience reaching mothers from all walks of life led her to become a La Leche League leader. She has helped many mothers overcome difficulties in their own homes, led monthly  support group meetings, and provided education and support in the early days of breastfeeding at the bedside. Now as an IBCLC, Beverly has the opportunity to help so many mothers get off to great start and reach their breastfeeding goals. It's important to her to help mothers feel empowered to make their own decisions in their breastfeeding journey.
