Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Randeep Kashyap earned his bachelor in medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) in 1986 from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India by graduating with honors. He also pursued his master in surgery from the same university. After completing the residency program in surgery, he joined the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's transplantation surgery fellowship program and was later appointed a visiting instructor.

Dr. Kashyap began at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2003 as a post-doctoral research fellow and subsequently, as a clinical fellow in the Solid Organ Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery Division. Additionally, Dr. Kashyap has contributed to over 50 publications in peer-reviewed international and national journals, as either first or second/third author. A number of his publications have become landmark papers in the field of transplantation and basic research – supported by grants from the National Institute of Health. He is married and has two sons.
