Chia Fresca

This summer drink is a variation of infused water, commonly seen in Mexico. Chia seeds are added to an infused water and chilled for 20 minutes to allow the chia seeds to “swell”. Chia fresca is hydrating and provides minerals, dietary fiber and omega-3’s. Try with fresh mint and cucumber slices for a flavorful variation!

Serves:

  • 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds 
  • 2 cups water 
  • ¼ cup orange juice 
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice 
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice 

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a pitcher. Stir well.  
  2. Chill for 20 minutes. 
  3. Stir and pour into individual cups.
