Policies and Guidelines The Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) is responsible for the reservations of the Conference Center and other meeting/educational space. In an effort to balance the various and often conflicting room requisitions, priority guidelines of space for users was developed to provide maximum usage of this space. Reservations for regular ongoing activities by internal groups (i.e., repetitive meetings, Grand Rounds, and departmental conferences) will be permitted in the Conference Center given the following: Repetitive activities may be scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Reservations may be made up to one year in advance. All reservations will be subject to institutional priorities as administered by CEL. All users are responsible for returning conference rooms to the normal configurations. Diagrams of the standard set up are posted in each room. Only University-approved caterers are allowed to service activities within the Conference Center. All users are responsible for paying service costs associated with their activity. There include but are not limited to: Parking, environmental services, special setups, trash outs, special media needs, catering, and equipment rental and event management fees where applicable. Requests and modifications to existing events that are 48 hours prior to the event will be subject to a service fee. To ensure compliance with University, County and State Fire Code Regulations many set ups and modifications to rooms are required to be coordinated by CEL staff.
