The CEL has just received Accreditation with Commendation from ACCME effective November 2015 through November 30, 2021.
The University of Rochester Center School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) ensures that any activity receiving AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ through the University meets the standards established by the ACCME. These “essential areas” have been put in place to assure physicians and the public that approved CME activities meet accepted standards of education.
The Center for Experiential Learning is committed to developing, organizing, and implementing quality educational activities through a collaborative process with Activity Directors and Planning Committees within the University, throughout the Greater Rochester Area, and across the nation. As an accredited CME provider, CEL must be involved in the initial planning stages of any activity if credit is to be awarded. The number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ awarded for each activity is based upon the submitted program agenda and is subject to modification if the agenda changes. Approval of CME credit is contingent on adherence to the ACCME Guidelines and Standards provided by CEL.
